Welcome to St. Thomas Episcopal School!

Christian School Houston TX Since its founding in 1955, STE has provided its students with a superior education while instilling Christian values and preparing them to be good citizens.

Our graduates leave St. Thomas’ college prep school well-prepared for the rigors of higher education and for a productive life beyond the university.

As a Christian school, our mission is to form honorable men and women through a classical education grounded in a Christ-centered world view. We've been teaching children since 1955, starting at the kindergarten level and continuing through twelfth grade.

Private School Houston TX

From the first, we have made our curriculum structured and challenging, resulting in student achievement at all levels that is well above the national average as measured by national achievement tests.

Give us a call today if you would like more information about the programs we offer 713-568-3340. Let us help you give your child  the best possible education! An education is a gift that keeps on giving!

Ask us about our Christian scholarship program!

We believe that the precision of thought necessary to the maintenance of high standards of Christian scholarship is based on a thorough grounding in the basics. Thus, we do not adopt every fad that sweeps through education, preferring instead time-tested methods such as phonics-based instruction in reading.

However, we have been among the first to adopt new technologies like computers, using as a criterion the practical benefits for our students, rather than the currently fashionable ideology.

The private parochial K-12 school was established in September of 1955, with a headmaster, five teachers, and eighty-five students in kindergarten and primary grades. In 1967, the school graduated its first high school class. Today it offers thirteen years of schooling leading to a high school diploma and has a student body of more than six hundred. Virtually all STE graduates go on to four-year colleges and universities.
